We have been given a great opportunity to participate in a Character Education Study. One component of it is for our students in Grades 4-8 to complete a survey to determine what they think about themselves, their school, community and family. Students will be completing the survey in class next week.
The results from this questionnaire will be used to gain a better understanding of the needs of young people in our school and community. Student participation is very important as we have Dr. Wayne Hammond (psychologist), interpreting our scores and providing us with feedback on how to further develop character education in our building.
The information will be shared with Dr. Hammond and staff so confidentiality will be maintained. This project will continue over the next school year, with opportunities for parental involvement. We thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education.
